Self worth.

What do you think you're worth?

I think I don't worth anything.

Not respect.

Not friendship.

Not love.

But think about it. How do we determine our self worth?

Are we naturally born with this thinking?

No.

When we were kids, we were so confident. Every step we took, even if it meant risking a fall, was
full of energy and confidence. We were never afraid then.

So then who determined our self worth?

Judgement.

From who?

Starting with strangers.

People around us.

People who claim to be our friends.

People who claim to be our family.

People who claim to love us.

And finally, ourselves.

How we view ourselves is dependent on how people view us. Hence, if your maths is good, you will understand these two equations.

Other's views of me > my view of myself.

Then it evolves to,

My view of myself = How other's view me.

Get it yet?

We dress like how we're expected to. Expectations from others.

We change because of other people.

We want to be like others. We compare ourselves to others and most of the time, guess what? We always lose.

No matter what, you will lose when you compare.

Yes, my point is, our exterior is priority and our personality is secondary. Our self worth follows this guideline. And everything here, is based on everyone but you.

So, why are we letting other people control our own lives?

memories
in cold decay.
